CUNY ALLIANCE

Kowtow (kou-tou) intr. v.

1. To kneel and touch the forehead to the ground in expression of deep respect, worship, or submission, as formerly done in China.2. To show servile deference. 3. To negotiate with an employer in a way similar to the New Caucus.

--------------------

Every time the New Caucus goes to the negotiating table, our wallets get lighter.

  • During the 2006 contract negotiations, they "NEGOTIATED" thousands of  dollars out of your paycheck to replenish the mismanaged Welfare Fund.

  • To improve their terrible dental coverage, they "NEGOTIATED" a plan that requires members to pay $1500 for better coverage.

  • Over the past nine years, they "NEGOTIATED" by far the lowest pay raises of any of our sister unions.

Someone should tell the New Caucus managers that they are supposed to negotiate benefits FROM the employer, not hand over money TO THEM.

New Caucus has had nine years to get better pay and benefits for its members. They have failed every time.

They simply do not know how to get the job done.

Vote for the group which will fight for our rights and our hard earned pay AND WIN.
