Dear CUNY Colleague,
Ballots for the PSC CUNY elections were sent to your home last week. Please be sure to follow the directions on casting your ballot as any deviations in procedure will invalidate your ballot. It is imperative that you return your ballot ASAP. 1. Am I satisfied with contractual wage increases that are consistently below the cost of living and far behind those enjoyed by my colleagues at SUNY and other universities? 2. Is the current dental plan better or worse than when the New Caucus took over nine years ago? 3. Are my overall fringe benefits – such as prescription drug coverage - better or worse than when the New Caucus took complete power nine years ago? 4. Am I satisfied with millions of dollars of my union's dues being spent on supporting foreign political issues, and other extraneous matters? Do I want the legislative body of the PSC to be more preoccupied with crafting resolutions about United States foreign policy than such issues as salary and workload? 5. Am I willing to let the incumbent OLD New Caucus once again mismanage the Welfare Fund into bankruptcy and then again use my negotiated pay raise to bail out the deficit? If your answer is “WORSE” or “NO” to any of these questions, it is important to vote for the CUNY ALLIANCE – to CHANGE the PSC leadership to one that is dedicated to focusing on the real issues that affect our daily and professional lives and those of our families. The CUNY ALLIANCE will focus totally on the needs and priorities of the members of our union. Thank you. Frederick Brodzinski Have the courage to change the paradigm! Vote CUNY ALLIANCE!
