Diane Wilson is a lecturer of African American Studies at New York City College of Technology in downtown Brooklyn, New York. She received the BA from Hunter College and her MA from the Ohio State University . Diane has been at City Tech since 1976. Her area of specialization is African art and Folklore. She has written several articles on the topic of African art and culture and given numerous presentations on the subject. She served a total of nine year as chairperson of the Department of African American Studies. As one of the two original faculty members of the department (department status issued in 1980), she continues to offer guidance and direction for curriculum and community relations for the department.
